26\/01\/2026 – Outbreak of Nipah virus in West Bengal, India. Nipah is found commonly in old world fruit bats, the megabat species found in tropical and sub-tropical areas that included the ‘flying foxes,’ although the bats seem immune to it, producing antibodies against it. Transfer to humans is rare, but usually through an intermediary such as pigs, who are very prone to infection from it, then through human to human contact.<\/p>\n

22\/12\/2025 – A large \u2018sink hole\u2019 seems to have appeared on the Llangollen canal near New Mills Lift Bridge in Whitchurch, Shropshire. But, it doesn\u2019t look like a standard sink hole, being on a bend, the opposing areas bending and the flatness of the bottom suggests that it was more of a bank collapse, the side wall being weakened and the bottom going out with the collapse, possibly due to lack of maintenance and inspection. There seems a small sink hole to the left of the picture, but I would think not the major cause, but one of an ongoing problem. If it is, then the wetter weather with climate changing for the UK suggests more earthen embankment constructions may follow, maybe the Toddbrook Reservoir dam in Derbyshire in 2019 an early warning sign of such things failing.<\/p>\n
13\/12\/2025 – 2 more days of higher than normal solar activity. With the recent band it seems to have changed things a bit. The previous data suggested that the peak of solar activity had passed and that the solar maximum had too. But this change suggested a new larger peak possible in May 2026 or shortly after, which agrees with the original idea of a peak around 28\/06\/2026.<\/p>\n
11\/12\/2025 – 6 Midlands hospitals have declared a critical incident level from H3N2 A influenza (subclade K), bringing the total to 16, far apart as Cornwall to Basingstoke and Plymouth to Lancashire, but still only half that of the peak of admissions in 2023. The problem is that the rise appears quicker, having risen by 50% in the past week, and earlier, many medical staff saying they have never experienced this sort of rise, so it might exceed the past totals.<\/p>\n

30\/10\/2025 – JetBlue flight 1230, an Airbus A320, traveling from Mexico to New Jersey, which landed at in Tampa at 14:19 EST, experienced a sudden drop in altitude on 30\/10\/2025 that was probably down to the sun\u2019s radiation that is a lot higher at altitude, affecting its electronics that cause a number of injuries. It\u2019s no surprise that with the high levels of solar radiation we have been experiencing at the moment that Airbus are hastily upgrading about 6,000 aircraft, and this is a thing that probably applies to many aircraft manufacturers. It\u2019s said to be just a precautionary thing, but the speed and scope of the recall suggests otherwise, something that is suddenly becoming noticeable with the change in the current sun\u2019s environment. It\u2019s probable also linked to the latitude of the aircraft and the time of day. If the radiation can affect covered and shielded electronics then there may be a problem with the effect on people in those planes.<\/p>\n

This volcano might produce quite an eruption given the recent place movement that cause eruptions and earthquakes at Kamchatka. The Kamchatka quakes were recorded as very strong effects 9 minutes later shaking instruments near the Axial seamount, a tsunami wave arriving there 6.5 hours later.<\/p>\n

30\/07\/2025 – 8.8 magnitude earthquake off east coast of Kamchatka peninsula. The eastern side of Asia does seem to be showing a lot more seismic activity than usual, a cluster starting around 17 days ago, and a gradual escalation in the past 3 months to the large one around Kamchatka, maybe continuing for another week, whereas the eastern side of the Pacific is showing quite a reduced level compared to normal. The world normally shows around 60,000 earthquakes a day, maybe 250 of them significant, but the recent 350 significant ones are a bit unusual and quite a bit more than average. If the pacific plate has released a lot of pressure on the western side, especially to the North there is a chance that the eastern side may also slip upwards suddenly. So far there have been 6 major earthquakes in the area.<\/p>\n

21\/07\/2025 – Confirmed 22 whales died in the San Francisco Bay in 2025, mainly grey whales. Numbers of grey whales have decreased by about 32% over the past 6 years, or 48% over the past 9 years. Normally they live for around 60 years and travel around 12,000 miles to their breeding grounds, diving to the sea floor and sucking up algae, but the change in ice levels along their path seems to limit the availability of this algae, and routes taken for migration have shown a loss in sightings, some completely. There is some support that the whales use the earth’s magnetic field for navigation and strandings occur because of recent solar activity, a large correlation seen between sunspots and strandings, the sun still at a high level of activity overall and may be for another year or two.<\/p>\n
15\/07\/2025 – With all the ladybirds around, being large swarms of them over the weekend in Burnham and Weston Super Mare you do wonder where they all went to. This morning I did my usually walk along the shore and found what I estimated as tens of millions of them mixed in with the seaweed. They were mostly on the seaweed line so likely went off shore, perished and were washed in.
\nI think it is more than being just a larger amount of things like aphids to eat as there doesn\u2019t seem to be the infestations of their prey that would prompt such large numbers, requiring a similar swarming event, but likely more because their lifecycles have been accelerated due to what\u2019s called a second quick heatwave within weeks of each other prompting hatching.
\nIf their cycle is disrupted too much by similar events we might find that fewer ladybirds survive until the following year due to numbers not being spread evenly among food supplies for them with a potential population collapse. This could prompt a sudden increase and advantage for the pests and our own food supplies and gardens.<\/p>\n

It is now July with a possible 3-4 month expansion level, so it’s like that half of Wales and Scotland with their large sheep populations may be infected by the end of the year, and probably all by next year. This suggests Ireland starting in a couple of years and being similar by 5 years.<\/p>\n
04\/07\/2025 – Covid XFG, Stratus and XFG.3 a hybrid or recombination versions of Covid, are expanding quite quickly in the UK with people now advised to stay home if they contract it. With this development there is a possibility now of a recombination mutation developing with long term more serious variants that could still be at large by someone being infected by both. Depends on how specific the mutational species needs to be, MERS in the middle east would be a nightmare.<\/p>\n
24\/06\/2025 – Sub-station electrical fires. We have been seeing quite a few stations catching fire within the last couple of months. There is a possibility that this could be due to sabotage, but considering that maybe as much as 40% of the UK’s infrastructure is 50 years old or more, maintenance and repairs postponed to maximise profits for power companies, and a move to ‘green,’ but very fickle powers sources, it’s getting closer here to the sort of outages in Spain and Portugal that also nearly took down a few countries systems on the peripheral. In every area resilience is being compromised on cost, people trying to make or save money by cutting function.<\/p>\n
07\/06\/2025 – Cases of Covid NB.1.8.1 have doubled in the UK since march to around 6%, with a 6% increase in deaths from it.<\/p>\n

25\/05\/2025 – New variant of covid known as NB.1.8.1 appearing in China and found at US airports. This new version although more similar to the latest ones seems about twice as virulent as previous ones. The proportion of serious cases seems about double and people testing positive seems slightly over double. If you compare pre-Omicron with post Omicron values that were around a quarter, you get an estimated risk rating of maybe as high as half. With the provision and uptake of vaccines having reduced dramatically there could be a major event developing.<\/p>\n
24\/05\/2025 – Bluetongue is on the move again in the UK. Now discovered in Lancashire.<\/p>\n
22\/05\/2025 – According to recent research an 8.0 magnitude earthquake along the Cascadia fault line could cause a major tidal wave to hit the West Coast of the US within the next 50 years. On average there has been a major shift in the Cascadia Fault around every 246 years, with the last major earthquake along this line in about 1700.<\/p>\n
21\/05\/2025 – Today an asteroid 2025KF, about 18m in diameter, getting onto the weight of the titanic, but travelling 1,000 times the speed, came within two days advance notice of its direction and passed about 9 earth diameters that could have taken out central London. A rough estimate of the effect would be the equivalent of a 2-megaton nuclear device, similar in power to something like the Russian Poseidon Underwater Nuclear Drone.<\/p>\n
23\/04\/2025 – We have now had around a 60 day band of higher than normal solar activity.<\/p>\n
19\/04\/2025 – Still quite a few new premises infected with bird flu, areas constantly leaving and joining the list of them.<\/p>\n
09\/04\/2025 – Austria closes 24 border points with Slovakia and Hungary after foot and mouth outbreaks in those countries. Hungary first had a case on march 7th and Slovakia on march 21st.<\/p>\n
03\/04\/2025 – 8th day of higher than normal solar activity. A NOAA, from it’s predictive model suggests we have passed solar maximum in august 2024, but we may be in for up to 2 years of additional effects. But there have been instances of double peaks, with some suggesting the peaks of 2023 and 2024 were that already. The problem is that the prediction from that model suggested a peak of around 125 would occur sometime around July 2025, but around August 2024 it already had reached a peak of 156, 25% above the figure that was expected around a year later. From the heightened levels of solar activity after august the is a good chance that the evidence of a maximum from the models might have been only because of higher than normal predicted figures than expected happening so far. The solar maximum being suggested because the models rather than the data says so.<\/p>\n
29\/03\/2025 – Major 7.7 magnitude earthquake near Mandalay in Myanmar about in the middle of the Sagaing Fault that runs down through the centre of it and skirts the IndoBurman Ranges. This is the 7th 7+ earthquake in the last 100 years on this fault, but this time affected nearby Thailand and caused damage in Bangkok which is much farther south, so the results from earthquakes are rare, major movements mainly affecting the more northerly zone of Thailand where the Sunda and South China plates meet.<\/p>\n
21\/03\/2025 – Fire at substation at Heathrow Airport closing it for the day. The coincidence of March being an important cargo month, the end of the UK tax year when firms are offsetting tax and budgets, it being a friday, one of the busiest days leading into the weekend and the reliance of such a single route logistic is very worrying in this time of unusual infrastructure damages. Thi doesn’t just affect the UK, but the whole world through other dependencies where necessary rerouting and rescheduling disrupts many areas. If it does turn out to be because of a 50 pence resistor, capacitor or relay it suggests nothing has been learned about resilience planning in 60 years since the North East US outage.<\/p>\n
15\/02\/2025 – Bluetongue has now been additionally detected in Devon and Somerset, so with the onset of milder weather it’s likely to continue its spread to other parts of the country around Easter time. Bird flu continues to be a major problem in the UK.<\/p>\n
14\/02\/2025 – Single Measles outbreak in the Texas rises to 48. The last outbreak was last year in Illinois last year. Measles is highly contagious, with about a 90% infection rate for the unvaccinated if exposed to it and rates for vaccination have fallen quite dramatically tending to loss of crowd immunity levels around the world.<\/p>\n
08\/02\/2025 – Outbreak of H7N8 bird flu in Victoria, Australia<\/p>\n
31\/01\/2025 – Bird Flu, highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPIA H5N1) 2.3.4.4b-D1.1 has been found in dairy cattle in Nevada by the APHIS service of the USDA and also Arizona, the worldwide stain H5N1 2.3.4.4b being the most common elsewhere in the world. So far, only one human death has been attributed to the D1.1 genotype, but this detection on dairy cattle rather than a freak one-off event. This may suggest that there is a definite evolution of the virus to infecting other forms of mammals including humans and has become the main variant is the US in wild birds, domestic poultry and mammals. If this continues in this trend then we couldhave a similar or worse position that we had with covid-19. To date, most of the 67 human cases of H5N1 since 2022 have happened in the US last year, with goats, pigs, cats and in cows becoming endemic. At the moment it has all the hallmarks for a possible epidemic, with a possible potential for it becoming airborne through particulates, a change being the main mutation that would allow this to happen. In the past 3 1\/2 years it has killed maybe 280 million birds, but about 40,000 sea lions and elephant seals have died from it.<\/p>\n
29\/01\/2025 – Human metapneumovirus (hMPV) is on the increase in the UK and could cause a major problem. It can mimic flu with its symptoms of cough, runny nose, asthma flare-ups sore trhroat and shortness of breath and is more prevalent in older people.<\/p>\n
28\/01\/2025 – Bird flu again is making the rounds in the UK taking over importance from bluetongue that probably because of the cooler weather has slowed in it’s spread. As the weather changes and becomes warmer this may change drastically.<\/p>\n
27\/01\/2025 – Flooding again in various parts of the UK after the severe storm \u00c9owyn. Herminia added extra water on top of already saturated fields. At least there were no storm surge combinations with high tides this time, most being in the north. If the jetstream polar front jet has a large amplification and to the south coinciding with tides and moon then we could have a problem similar to December 2013-2014 in the Somerset levels.<\/p>\n

17-18\/11\/2024 – Two undersea fibre optic telecoms cables severed in Baltic sea, one linking Finland and Germany and the other Sweden and Lithuania in Swedish waters. In the past a Chinese vessel leaving Russia was linked to damage of a Finland-Sweden-Estonia comms cable as well as a Finnish-Estonian gas pipeline last year. The Nordstream pipelines were definately explosive devices in September 2022. If you count Shetland, 7 such events in 3 years, after little before, is a bit statistically suspicious. Either somebody is starting to use this as a form of hybrid tactical strategy, or people who are operating the ships have become very careless and complacent. Both would be very concerning, as major vital gas and oil pipelines could be at risk.<\/p>\n
13\/11\/2024 – Bluetongue has now been additionally detected in North Yorkshire and moving westwards across Berkshire.<\/p>\n
12\/11\/2024 – Large number of swans and other water birds found dead in the Grand Union Canal in London, England. They seem to have all died from Botulism. Botulism is being poined by the Botulinus Toxin, a neurotransmitter inhibitor and muscular blocking agent that the bacteria Clostridium Botulinus produces mainly when it is stressed by a lack of oxygen. It is a common bacteria, present in many things, but usually only produces the toxin when it is allowed to propagate then confined, so an open air occurrence is odd.<\/p>\n

09\/11\/2024 – Skynet-1A, a satellite launched in 1969, has unusually moved from its normal location that was about 140 degrees from where it is now, about 22,000 miles. Nobody seems to know why this is and is unexpected. This is on top of the Boeing Intelsat 33e satellite, part of its EpicNG system that seems to have shattered into something like 500 large pieces on October 17th, 23 days ago.
\nThis is not singular occurrence as the Chinese satellite Yunhai 1-02 did the same on 18\/03\/2021 and was just put down to a collision with space junk, close calls such as with the Electronic Intelligence satellite Cosmos 2082 that was part of the 18 ELINT satellites that Russia launched quite common as all the upper stages were also mainly left in similar orbits. You do wonder if all those \u2018discarded stages\u2019 were just discarded and some may have been still active.
\nAlternatively it could be a symptom of a Kessler Syndrome where it becomes no longer safe to travel into space or position something there.
\nAn intentional Kessler effect may be something that a society that is falling behind in technology and the space race may promote in a denial of access way. If they can\u2019t have space security over their country, they will make sure nobody else can. Then again, it may be no coincidence that since the Skynet-1A has basically moved in position very close to the South Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly, this may be the main cause. In which case, if things get worse with it, all satellites and maybe the ISS may move into danger. Since most rocket launched for efficiency are around this area it could eventually unless moved to area of much lower efficiency mean the end of mankind’s space race window.<\/p>\n

If the latter is the case then it could be about this time next year that it could reach the sheep areas of Wales, unless it contracts a lot over the winter period and possibly about 5 years to reach the same in Scotland.<\/p>\n

01\/09\/2024 – 5 bluetongue infected premises and 2 counties, Norfolk and Suffolk in the east of the UK with restricted movements so far. It is found in sheep and red deer, where it can be very severe and up to 90% mortality, cattle, goats and usually spread by virus infected midges with the warm weather. If warm weather is more common it is likely to spread automatically to other areas. Incubation is around couple of weeks and animals dying generally do so within a week, but survivors taking months to recover. In the UK and Denmark it is mainly BTV-8 that has maintained a continual path from North Africa, through Northern Italy and Eastern France in the past 25 years as suitable conditions for the host have arisen in those areas. Although it was first specified in South Africa 100 years ago. It is related to the rotaviruses African Horse sickness and Epizootic haemorrhagic disease, so possibly it may evolve and cross over to horses and humans through saturation.<\/p>\n
24\/08\/2024 – 13 Cases of West Nile Disease detected in Spain. West Nile virus is particularly dangerous for people over 50 and those who are vulnerable and\/or have conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer, being spread by infected mosquitoes.<\/p>\n
23\/08\/2024 – The Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland seems to becomeing more active after 600 years, similar to a number of other places around the world.<\/p>\n
20\/08\/2024 – Unusually high numbers of Parvovirus B19 and erythema infectiosum, a viral infection from it recorded in Europe and America. There is a possibility that widespread infections by Covid may have sponsored weaknesses that are allowing such diseases to infect easier and get a foothold where they normally wouldn’t. We seem to be finding this with Mpox, Oropouche, malaria, japanese encephalitis, buruli, Langya henipavirus and possibly Bird Flu (H5N1), Pig flu (H1N2), with Scabies, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Duke’s disease, Rosealla and Rubella all showing rises. Though it may be just down to failing medical services.<\/p>\n
16\/08\/2024 – Covid seems to be rising again confirmed from values found in wastewater and hospitalisations around the world. Direct tracking has all but stopped in every country with every government assuming it is all over and finished with, no longer vaccinating efficiently, or at all in many cases to deal with an ongoing problem. Covid seems to have other ideas.<\/p>\n
14\/08\/2024 – Mpox in Africa tending towards a 60% increase this year as new strains such as Clade IIb are evolving. Mortality on average seems to be around 3.3%, nearly twice that of early Covid-19, but the differences between clade I and clade II seem to suggest that the more dangerous clade I is about 5-10 times the level of clade II, most of the mortality, about 75% being among those under 15, those with compromised immunity, or a history of severe eczema or pregnant. The method of transfer seems to be close physical contact, but aerosol droplet driven like covid. 1st Case of the more dangerous version, Clade 1 confirmed in Europe. So far no cases of clade I have been reported in the U, although there have been 30,000 cases of clade II. In Africa, the main vector seems to be small rodents and monkeys.<\/p>\n
11\/08\/2024 – In the last two months 19 cases of the Oropouche virus have been found in Europe from people that have travelled to South America. It is spread by insect bites that included midges and mosquitoes. About 9,000 cases have been seen in South America this year, together with the first deaths, so it appears to be changing. With warming climate in Europe it probably is only time before it becomes endemic here.<\/p>\n

24\/05\/2024 – Human infection of H5N1 bird flu shows notable mutations suggesting a higher potential for human infection. Recent mutations showed changes in the PB2 gene that seem to be linked to the ability for increased replication and virulence in mammals. How humans will deal with a new and relatively unexposed to virus is unknown. Previous tests on mice also suggested a good possibility of enhanced level infection due to mutation. There have been virus particles found in meat sent to US abattoirs with the suggestion that the virus be eradicated by cooking meat to a well-done level. So far the virus has not passed onto pigs, a sign of an immediate threat.<\/p>\n

All this may be linked to a disruption of magnetoreception and changing magnetic fields in the world.<\/p>\n
24\/04\/2024 – H5N1 influenza virus has been detected in cows and milk in the US. It has now been detected in wildlife in mainly red foxes in the east of the US and skunks and mountain lions in the west, most above the 40th parallel, but most mammals including humans have had cases. Most of the dairy cattle infections are with older cows in Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico that are below the 40th parallel. About 1\/3rd of milk samples have trace of the virus. At the moment pigs seem not susceptible to the virus, but chickens definitely are. Pigs could be a possible direct vector into humans, being a lot closer related in compatible structure having possibly developed together, especially if they are in close proximity to chickens, which is a possibility that happened with the various waves in the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak. A crossover or breakthrough evolution may not conform to the vaccines that are being developed and with uncontrolled movement may spread very quickly and out of control.<\/p>\n

It could be that this is normal for the run up to a solar maximum, the last one in April 2014 when recording was not so advanced and the previous one November 2001, but it implies that the sun could during this time have a higher base line for affecting earth, very large flares in 2003 and in February 2022 knocking out 40 Starlink satellites.<\/p>\n

In the UK, cases in birds have been detected throughout, luckily crossover cases are rare, but with large numbers in commercial flocks and close human and other commercial animal proximity it may be a matter of time before something bad emerges. It seems to be now passing the antarctic penisula with elephant seals dying in large numbers, so there is emerging a massive risk for birds such as Penguins populations. Because of the cold they are always under stress, but an epidemic combined with a slowly disappearing habitat due to climate change may give rise to severe effects.<\/p>\n
01\/01\/2024 – Scabies on the increase in the UK in humans, especially in children and the young. It is caused by the same sort of mite, Sarcoptes scabiei that causes mange in dogs, cats and cattle.<\/p>\n

22\/12\/2023 – Chronic Wasting Disease or CWD is on the increase in various states in the US. It seems related to BSE as they seem both to occur from malformed proteins called prions. At the moment no crossover with humans is known and it occurs in mainly wild deer. Areas that have infections seem to keep on getting further infections and expanding even after a period of them disappearing, so the odds are in favour of something in the environment or close contact, the likeliest being from animal waste contaminating an area. Deer are unlikely to eat each other or from being fed common contaminated protein feeds, this having been investigated. If this is the case then a crossover with humans may be down to simply waste from an infected animal occurring in a human consumed crop.<\/p>\n

The cats showed signs of severe systemic infection with things like lesions on their hearts, brains, eyes and lungs.
