Analysis of the Medical Problems in the UK by Cause

It’s very hard to work out what is currently going on in the UK as far as medical problems go, the statistics released or recorded being too general to really give full information, but I’ve attempted to try and create some order out of the figures and come to some conclusions.

If you take Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease then about +31% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years only +2% are dying.

For Heart Disease, then about +21% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years only +6% are dying.

For Cancers other than lymphatic, then about a similar number are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic and overall compared to the last 5 years.

For Lymphatic type cancers, then about +13% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years only +6% are dying.

For Cerebrovascular diseases, then about +18% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years it’s similar.

For Undefined Causes, then about +56% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years +44% are dying.

Respiratory type diseases have become complicated due to the emergence of Covid-19, influenza increasing again and always being around, so I have decided to lump all types of respiratory illness together to see the overall effect. This gives the current state of mortality for these causes +57% more people are dying from this than before the Covid epidemic, but overall compared to the last 5 years +29% are dying.

The last 5 years data used includes the years during the main part of the covid outbreaks so may be positively skewed in the direction of repiratory illnesses and unknown or indeterminate causes, so this is why I used purely pre-covid figures to get a true indication.

So the major differences over the years are that about 57% more people are dying than previously from respiratory connected diseases, about 50% more are dying from unknown or undefined causes, dementia about 30% more, cerebrovascular diseases about 15% more, heart disease about 20% more, cancers about 8% more, but as influenza has not taking off just yet and other diseases are not majorly increasing, it would be safe to assume that this is connected to a long term exposure to Covid-19 and down to possibly a long-covid type effect that is not understood, being investigated, or is not obvious from the confusion with the figures or diagnosis.

I am still worried as to the long-term consequences of covid using the ACE2 enzyme and hidden damage, functional efficiency and mutational effect to the major organ surface membranes.

Probable Cause of Death % Increase since before Covid % Increase Compared to 5 year average

Chronic lower respiratory diseases 55.6% 5.3%
Malignant neoplasm of colon, rectum and anus -3.7% -0.5%
Ill-defined conditions 56.3% 44.1%
COVID-19 26.9%
